What inspired you to work in this field?

My motivation to work in addiction stems from recognizing its overlooked status in broader societal conversations. I'm driven to contribute actively to the journey of recovery for individuals grappling with addiction.

What motivated you to join the team?

I was drawn to join the fantastic team at PRC Recovery because of their dedication to providing caring, comprehensive support. Their approach resonates with me as it focuses on treating the whole person, addressing both addiction and its underlying causes.

What unique qualities or experience do you bring to your role?

With my skills, I bring a mix of empathy, understanding, and evidence-based techniques to my role. Connecting with people from diverse backgrounds and creating a supportive atmosphere sets me apart in guiding them towards lasting recovery.

What aspects of your job do you find most rewarding?

The most rewarding part of my job is witnessing the incredible transformation as individuals take back control of their lives and discover their true potential. Seeing them overcome challenges and embrace sobriety reaffirms my passion for this work every day.

Memorable success story?

One inspiring success story was watching the journey of a particular client from struggle to recovery and it was deeply moving. After completing our program and working hard on the tools learned, they proudly declared months later that they were still sober. What's more, they decided to use their newfound strength to make a difference by joining a program to combat drug abuse in schools. This success underscores the impact of empowering individuals to reclaim their lives and contribute positively to society.

What do you find challenging working in this field?

Working in addiction recovery presents its challenges, from dealing with relapses to addressing underlying trauma. However, these challenges also provide opportunities for growth and reinforce the importance of a comprehensive and individualized approach to care.

What values or principles guide your approach to supporting the clients?

My approach to supporting individuals in recovery is guided by empathy, respect, and a strong belief in their potential for change. I prioritize creating a non-judgmental and empowering environment where clients feel heard, understood, and supported on their journey to recovery.

What is your personal mission statement?

To provide unwavering support, guidance, and compassion to individuals on their path to recovery. I am committed to empowering them to overcome obstacles, rediscover their strengths, and live a fulfilling life free from addiction.

Outside of work, I enjoy enriching myself through reading and maintaining my physical well-being by regularly hitting the gym.
