It works if you work it, so work it you are worth it. It worked for me and it could work for you too. Sobriety gives me everything drugs and alcohol promised. When I arrived at PRC Recovery I learned more and gained more weight. I learned that I have a disease and if I ever use again I will end up dead, in jail or institutionalized. For me to stay clean, I need boundaries, I need to avoid my triggers at all cost as my recovery comes first and I do not want to die because of drugs. I want my son to have a sober father, someone he can look up to.
Individual Counselling
My individual counselling sessions were about my background and how I need to change my relationships into healthy relationships.
Group Counselling
The Group Counselling sessions were very educational due to knowing more about our attitudes and behaviours and how to deal with conflicts and that we are different people with different communication styles.
Step Work Counselling
My Step Work Counselling was informative. I do not need to bottle things up. I never got angry about people, places or things that I can not change. I learned to be honest and that I do not have to change myself to fit in. People will love me for who I am.
Facility
I feel that the facility can do with some new beds, showers can be fixed and the gym can be worked into the daily schedule.
Meals
Meals were fine, a few changes were made.
Fellowship
I enjoyed the Fellowship meetings as I got to share my experience with people that get me. I did not feel judged and gained experience with some peoples shares.
General
The staff members really know how to deal with addicts in any manner, whether struggling or demanding.
